Region converter
Actually, we don't know a way to convert save data from a region to another one (and probably there isn't). But if you have deemer installed you can use this simple trick. If not read How to install savegame deemer
First of all, you need both games of both regions.
Start the game of the region you want to convert from, load your save game and save it. When you save, the plugin deemer creates the file sddata.bin under /psp/saveplain/"game-folder".
Now, start the second game, the one you want to convert to, start a new game and save when you can. The deemer creates another sddata.bin into a new folder, but now in the new game region code. All you have to do is only to copy the sddata.bin from the first folder to second one and overwrite.
Start again the second game, load the save date and you'll see the first one situation. Finally, save again and you'll obtain a new savegame, updated and converted, to the new region. It is located into /psp/savedata.
Summarizing in steps
- First of all you need savegame deemer plugin
- Get both region1 and region2 of the same game
- Load the save data with region1 game
- Save it(deemer will create sddata.bin)
- Quit
- Start the region2 game and begin a new game (if you already have a save data of this region, skip to to step 9)
- Save it as soon as possible(deemer will create a sddata.bin)
- Quit
- Go to into memory stick and move the sddata.bin from the region1 folder to the region2 folder and overwrite
- Start again the region2 game and load the savedata
- Save it again, in order to obtain the new region save with the updated status

if I try to convert from jap to eng the game tells me that the language is not equal to that of rescue. What should I do?
ReplyDeleteYou are right. This is the message you receive. For this game the sddatas are not replaceable. We have a side project that is savegame converter for "patapon 2".
ReplyDeleteFor now there is not much you can do.
But there is a good new: our savegame editor works with both the sddatas (eur and jap).
ok i wait it ;D
ReplyDeleteHi, I have deemer. I followed the steps (which I didn't realy get on tis page) when I transfer my patapon 1 save file it say's no data was found. Please help.
ReplyDeleteThe thing is I followed your steps but could you be more specific like the saying the save folder name and game name. I have patapon 1 US and patapon 2 EUR. Please help.

ReplyDeleteis there anyway to convert my save data of digimon world 3 to the pal verison
ReplyDeleteI tried this on Resistance: Retribution and it worked! Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteyes, you can convert digimon savegame. you need a playstation portable with custom firmware, savegame deemer and both games (usa and eur).
ReplyDeleteAfter, follow the steps!
Hello~
ReplyDeletei Try to convert my Jap DW:Strikeforce to Pal but there are Two Savefiles~
anyone try it too ? need help~
Thx
I tried using Deemer on Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce Pal version but I don't get a sddata.bin... Is Deemer unusable with DW:SF!?
ReplyDeleteIt is usable. You have to load the game and save. It will be create sddata.bin into saveplain/[game folder]/
ReplyDeleteAfter that, use copy this sddata into new folder as written above.
Dont work for me~ get the old save~
ReplyDeleteYou can use deemer, but it doesn't really work with Strikeforce because it adds multiple folders, and it doesn't really add what you'd expect it to add, had you done it before with other games. It's different, and from what I've seen, most likely you won't be able to convert an EUR copy to USA copy, or vice versa.
ReplyDeleteit worked nice and easy!!
ReplyDeleteI was using a US GTA ISO and Bought an UK UMD...
it worked flawlessly!!
thanks!!!
Thank you so much for your plugin! Worked like a charm for Wild ARMs FX!!
ReplyDeleteHeya.
ReplyDeleteI'm quite desperate about this hole thing
and I really hope you can help me somehow:
I was currently playing Final Fantasy VII(SCES00867 PAL-E Multidisc) until I had a problem with a bug on CD2.
[For whoever knows what I'm talking about: When you enter that key in the forgotten capital you found previously on the bottom of the sea. The bug appears when you enter that round thing in the middle, which is covered by a waterfall. Screens goes black but I figured that I was still able to move until proceeding upwards. Bugenhagen then says something about an illusion "screen protecting an image" or so.. bla. doesn't matter.]
anyway I guess my problem is a faulty video sequence.
I tried everything i could:
Using files I previously downloaded after changing their gameID to experience that the savegame is not even showing up anymore, using another popsloader didn't help.. applying patches.. and so on.
I thought by using your trick I might be able to simply skip that faulty part on another game but even that is not working:
I just don't know why but there is no savePLAIN folder showing up in my PSP directory. I thought: Well maybe my popsloader plugin is causing trouble so I wiped it off my mem stick and solely copied the deemer. nothing.
For those who might have an answer or at least a suggestion some extra informations: The FFVII savedata is in a folder called SCES00867.
That's right: No DATA00 (or whatever) in the end. a glimpse of hope? no idea.
I thought it might have something to do with the fact that it's actually a PSX game but then I realised that a couple of other games are the same. (and were. even before knowing about the deemer)
..and oh yeah of course: I surely tried to get another version with the same code. not as simple as I thought.
I have a question : IS THERE A EASIER WAY ?
ReplyDeleteI have a question - I tried doing this with my Monster Hunter 2nd G (JAP) save, to convert it for the Monster Hunter Freedom Unite (US).
ReplyDeleteI did all the steps, after copying from the JAP to the US folder in Saveplain, I loaded the US game, but it just displays that the game data is corrupted and doesn't load. Help pls..........
Hey, will this work on PSX games?
ReplyDeleteI ALSO have the PSX problem with Final Fantasy VII. It is caused by a bad rip of the pal disc. no one else considers it a problem becaues they all play it on their PC emulators, but if you convert them for use on your PSP, you get stuck on Disc 2. Right there after you get the key and try to enter the waterfall.
Now every, EVERY single pal version i find online is the same exact disc copies. It's liek everyone stole from this one download and called it their own instead of ripping their own disk. I've downloaded 3 different versions, only to find that all 3 disks are the same, with the same bug.
My way around it is by downloading an ITALIAN pal version that was CORRECTLY ripped and that is how I bypass the glitches. I DONT understand what is being said AT ALL.
I would love to play this on NTFS (and i wish i just got that instead) but save files don't work from Pal version. I need a psp psx save file converter. or better yet A Disk that is ripped CORRECTLY!!
I need a megaupload or rappidshare link (or even a propper torrent that isn't a copy of the bad files) that has FF7 Pal on it. SCES00867.
Does this mean that with just Patapon 1 US and Patapon 2 EUR it's not enough, you need Patapon 1 EUR as well?
ReplyDeleteNeed to convert from Patapon 1 US to Patapon 1 EUR then use in Patapon 2 EUR?
Hi guys,
ReplyDeleteI have a problem trying to convert Crimson gem saga saves from asian version to the Us one.

This guide worked half way for me. I was able to get my US New Game of Monster Hunter Freedom Unite to play on the European version, but I want it to work the other way. I've done the guide and tried switching which folder I use but nothing works for EU to uS on MHFU.
ReplyDeleteI get a black Screen when I try to open my US and EU Dissidia Games with Deemer enabled. Is there any solution or maybe someone who would be willing to convert my US Save of Dissidia to an EU Save?
ReplyDeleteThanks in advance
email is medra@gmx.de
